FAQ
COMMON QUESTIONS
Is MCU open to all Mechatronics students?
Yes — MCU serves all students in the Mechatronics Engineering program and the Mechatronics stream within Mechanical Engineering at TMU. First-year to fourth-year, everyone's welcome.
Do I have to pay to be part of MCU?
Nope — our resources, course guides, Discord server, and most events are free. Some events may have a small ticket cost to cover venue or catering, but general membership costs nothing.
How do I contribute a course review?
DM us on Instagram or drop a message in the Discord server. We'll share a template and slot your review into the academics page — all reviews are student-credited.
Can companies or clubs collaborate with MCU?
Absolutely. We're open to sponsorships, workshop collaborations, recruitment events, and more. Email us at tmutron@torontomu.ca with details about what you have in mind.
I'm a first-year — is MCU useful this early?
Especially then. First year is where people fall behind or get ahead — our course guides for MTH140, MEC222, CPS188, and other Y1 courses are written by students who just went through them. Jump in the Discord, connect with upper years, and use every resource we have.
